Waterford City Council’s Youth Social Inclusion Arts programme is in partnership with Waterford Youth Arts.
It is a music programme aimed at supporting young people that would traditionally not have access to music resources. The programme will assess the systems and facilities available in the City leading to a series of activities, workshops and events for young people to which price is not a barrier to participation.
The Youth Social Inclusion Arts programme works with emerging young bands and musicians so that they can become more visible; it will support them in accessing facilities, marketing, securing gigs as well as with development.
The culmination of the programme will be the revival of the ‘Lark in the Park’ in 2014.
