Central Arts, Every Wednesday 25th September – 30th October at 8:30 p.m.
The course of six weeks is one developed through a blend of classical and jazz training and my practicing of the Steiner methods of vocal training. It is aimed at people of a wide range of ability and will take everyone at their level.
The sessions will take the form of:
Warm ups and conscious feeling of noise making
Style discussion and performance development
The course will enable the participants to warm up for performance.
Focus on one personal “party Piece” for each participant, enabling them to perform this with confidently, working on their own remaking of the song through dynamics and personal interpretation
Will develop ability in group singing using harmony, unison and solo parts.
We will examine the components of the vocal instrument and the feeling of same during vocal use, allowing the participants to sing more consciously.
We will develop technique singing with and without a mic.
We will perform at Central Arts open mic at the end of the course to an audience of the public. More information please click here.
