Waterford Healing Arts Trust is appointing a Music Co-ordinator / Administration Assistant (Healing Sounds and Iontas) to co-ordinate its Healing Sounds and Iontas Arts & Mental Health programmes.

WHAT is Ireland’s leading arts and health programme and brings arts experiences to the bedside of patients at University Hospital Waterford (UHW) and other healthcare settings.  Music is at the heart of the work of WHAT and this is a great opportunity for a person interested in music to gain valuable experience in this growing area.  Applicants must be eligible for Community Employment.  The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday 17 August at 4pm (see below for details).

The role of the Music Co-ordinator/Administration Assistant involves working with and supporting the WHAT panel of musicians who deliver the Healing Sounds programme at UHW and the Iontas Arts and Mental Health programme at a number of settings in the wider Waterford community

WHAT believes that the arts contribute to the wellbeing and vitality of society and that engaging with the arts stimulates the participant’s sense of identity and creativity.  WHAT supports the development of arts and health in Ireland and manages the national website www.artsandhealth.ie
