Born in New York City in 1971, Rayleen Clancy spent her formative years between New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Ireland. She currently works and lives in Co. Waterford, Ireland.
“Now, in the early 21st century, we find ourselves in a rapidly shifting world. One that seems to be disintegrating and distorting before our eyes. The onslaught of information and the blurred lines between fact and fiction have thrown us into a state of confusion and disarray. This coupled with the physical reality of a tumultuous climate and an uncertain future has underscored our collective anxiety.
In this body of work titled WE ARE CHAOS, I respond to these frenzied times. Depicted is a chaotic world, however within the work there is a suggestion that hope remains.”
