Waterford Youth Arts is dedicated to encouraging young people and children between the ages of 3-19 years of age to discover and showcase their creativity. Their workshops include Art, Dance, Drama, Creative Writing, Circus Skills and Film. The Dance Workshops are now held in the Dance Studio at Garter Lane Arts Centre, here children of all ages access a fit for purpose dance floor in a safe and comfortable environment.
Dance workshops take place on Wednesdays from 4:30-7pm. A term is usually 9 weeks for each workshop strand and the cost (maintained deliberately low) is €45.
Waterford Youth Arts is the largest member Youth Arts Organisation in the country outside of the National Association of Youth Drama, and many local professional arts practitioners have gone through its doors and participated in its many productions.
