Granuaile by Shaun Davey (including the famous Ripples in the Rockpools) will help Waterford celebrate its 1100th birthday in this gallery of orchestral Pictures of Ireland. With other works such as Leroy Anderson’s Irish Suiteand two premiers by local composers this concert will be a real feast of light orchestral music. The 50 piece orchestra will be joined by two choirs in what promises to be a rousing finale in Greg Scanlon’s new work in celebration of Waterford Legacy. Mitch Cuss explores his heritage in a short musical pen picture of his grandparents in his work Lineage.
