The Rogue Gallery and Studios is proud to present a solo exhibition, ‘Autonomous Minds, Part II’ by Waterford painter and Rogue resident artist Aidan Dunne. The show will kick off with a wine reception at 8pm on May 2nd and run until June 20th.

Ethereal, thoughtful and utterly captivating, Aidan’s work has been exhibited at Garter Lane Arts Centre, in the Municipal Collection at Greyfriars, and with the Royal Photographic Society London.

According to Aidan, “creating works of art, for me, is not so much about creating or finding something new, but to rediscover what is already there… and to give expression to the experience that something inside of all of us connects us. That connection makes us human”.

Aidan Dunne was born in Waterford in 1957, and have resided there ever since. Gained a cert in animation studies from CTI Waterford 1990. Aidan attended WIT and in 1992 he completed a City & Guilds course in photography with distinctions. Also gaining a  licenceship with the Royal Photographic Society London.  In 2016 Aidan started to paint using acrylic and oils and has since then. Some of these paintings have been included in exhibitions in Ireland and aboard. One of Aidan’s most recent paintings has graced the vinyl record cover for the Waterford band Birds Of Burden.
