In a bid to win the title of European Capital of Culture for Ireland in 2020 the three counties of

Kilkenny, Waterford & Wexford have come together to transform the South East region and

collectively focus the creative & cultural energy of Ireland’s most dynamic landscape.

Calling all businesses involved in creative industry across the South East. We. Need. YOU!
Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) is working in partnership with the Three Sisters – candidate to be European Capital of Culture 2020 – to develop a Creative Industries Baseline and Growth Action Plan for the South East region.

Aside from public input and participation, a central element of a successful Bid is a clear understanding of our strengths, weaknesses and opportunities across the cultural and creative industries; and carrying out a detailed analysis of the Cultural and Creative Industries in the region is key to this. This input is vital to our understanding of the sector in the South East and the industry’s contribution will also inform the ongoing work of WIT’s Cultural Capital Research Project: a longer-term research exercise which will build the knowledge base to ensure we maximise our creative potential. The survey is open for two weeks from June 11th 2015.
