Tuesday 17th November at 7.30 pm historical talk at St.Patrick’s Gateway Centre

You are very welcome to join us for the latest in our series of monthly local history talks. This month we focus on Bishop Atherton (1598-1640), originally from Somerset, who as Lord Bishop of Waterford and Lismore was tried and executed for homosexual acts. Tuesdays talk given by Dermot Power will give us a great insight into the morality of those times and into a shameful event which not many of us were aware of.

Admission on the night is €5 and all are welcome.
