As part of the Sea Horse Commemoration’s series of legacy events, an art exhibition will be held in Tramore Coastguard Cultural Centre. This exhibition will kick-start a number of events which will culminate in three days of events held in conjunction with the Promenade Festival from the 1st to the 3rd of July.
The Sea Horse Commemoration Exhibition will be launched by poet Mark Roper whose writings on the Backstrand in Tramore will ensure the evening will be of great interest to all. The launch will take place at 7pm on the 16th of June and all are invited to attend.
The exhibition curator Ger Kennedy outlined the exhibition as….’a selection of works from disparate artists in response to the Sea Horse tragedy’. The exhibition will feature original worked by artists such as Breda Lynch, Julie Kelleher, Ann O’Regan, Pat Cunningham, John Cullinan, John Gallagher, Anthony Costine, Ann McDonnell Murphy, Anna Downer, Fran Crowe, Eleanor Horan, Ben Hennessey, Margaret O’Brien‐Moran, Pamela de Bri, Maeve Doherty, Tom Dalton, Niall O’Brien‐Moran, Ciaran Conneely, Berna Lawton, Catherine Drea, Grainne Foran‐Taylor, Pat McArdle and Richie Ryan.
