Waterford Healing Arts Trust (WHAT) will present a live performance by The Music Makers as part of its Healing Sounds programme in the foyer of University Hospital Waterford (UHW) on Tuesday 6 March at 3.00pm. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Healing Sounds in the Foyer is a programme of monthly live music performances which aims to promote the positive relationship between music, health and wellbeing and to reduce stress and anxiety for patients, visitors and staff. This programme is kindly sponsored by AIB Ardkeen.

The Music Makers have been attending interactive music sessions at WHAT for the past nine years and have gone from strength to strength. The highlight of their year is performing in the foyer of University Hospital Waterford and the participants’ energy, enthusiasm and the variety of their songs has been a huge hit with visitors, patients, staff, family and friends who support them. Music facilitator Mary Prendergast will be coordinating the performance on the day. Speaking in advance of the performance Mary said “a lot of hard work, effort and fun has gone into preparing for this performance and The Music Makers hope to welcome a good crowd on the day for a really enjoyable, uplifting and heart warming music session.”
