Irish Chamber Orchestra Katherine Hunka: Director/Violin, Dermot Dunne: Accordion Katherine Hunka directs the Irish Chamber Orchestra, reflecting on sixty years of Hollywood’s best film music, from classic movie scores to today’s most popular soundtracks. A selection of these colourful works feature the accordion, played with panache by Dermot Dunne. Katherine and Dermot have performed together over many years and are renowned for their warmth and engaging approach to their music. From Bernard Hermann’s exciting Psycho Suite to the romanticism and joy of Il Postino’s Italian strains, from the haunting of the holocaust (Schindler’s List) to the magic of Harry Potter we marvel at the genius of John Williams.
