The Lit Festival of Reading and Writing is a festival for young people with a wish to tear out a page from the world of literature. We invite you to plunge into a book, fall in love with the world of words, take to arms with a pen in hand and your imagination in the other; help start #TheLitRevolution.

Rose Keating is a writer living in Cork city. She is attending UCC on a Quercus writing scholarship and is the 2019 recipient of the Eoin Murray Memorial Scholarship in creative writing. She has had work published in Banshee, Southword, the Honest Ulsterman and Hot Press magazine.

She was the national winner of the Hot Press Write Here, Write Now competition in 2015, 2016 and 2018, and is the recipient of the Marian Keyes Young Writer Award 2019. She works as a columnist for the Waterford News and Star.

Rose will be reading a selection of her new work in Waterford Gallery of Art on Saturday 16th November. The event is for individual’s aged between 14 & 19 years of age. Free event but registration is recommended, here. Please find the full programme here.
