The Smash Hit GAA Comedy by Bryan Flynn & Kevin McCormack comes to the Deise County for One Week Only !!!!‘The ALL STAR Wars’ comes to Theatre Royal – Waterford  after a roaring success with its Irish premiere at Cork Opera House back in April. The gags, both verbal and visual come thick and fast in this hilarious new comedy. Soccer was gifted with ‘I Keano’ and rugby with ‘Alone it Stands’. Now, at last, comes the spectacular comedy which takes a sideways glance at the nation’s number one obsession, the ancient game of hurling! This fabulous evening of comedy, music and song received standing ovations all the way when it premiered at Cork Opera House in April. Produced by Theatrix Productions, The ALL STAR Wars follows the adventures of Hugh Cullen, family man, GAA club man and all-round lost cause. After receiving a knock on the head from the business end of a hurley, Hugh Cullen is visited from the year 3012 by the enigmatic Obi Wan Camogie. What ensues is two hours of top shelf comedy script, punctuated by fun filled comedic musical production numbers and hilarious Audio Visual sequences. Writers Kevin McCormack and Bryan Flynn transpose us to a world rich with colourful characters including Obi Wan Camogie, King Henry of The Shefflin Order and Lady GAA GAA. We meet comic characters familiar to us all, including Hugh’s motley crew of junior B team mates, our favourite GAA commentators, players and managers , a fiery goalkeeper and the parish priest..…you get the idea!
