‘The 5-Minute Bell’ will be the first book to completely capture the 107 year history of the Waterford/Tramore railway that sadly ceased operating on 31 December 1960. For those of us who used the train, this book presents a trip down memory lane and recalls simpler times when cars were fewer, TV was snowy (at best) and mobile phones, Visa cards and Internet were all things of the future. For those who never used the train, it will tell you what you missed.
Thanks to inputs from a great many people, the book contains an illustrated account of the days (both glad and sad) of this highly unique railway.
Why not have a glass or two of wine (or a cup of tea or coffee) and participate in Julian Walton’s launching of this book by Frank O’Donoghue on Tuesday 6 November at 7 pm.
It is hoped that you will be able to come along and do feel free to bring friends and relations.
