The Coastguard Cultural Centre presents two award winning Texas songwriters for evening of song and story Texas style.
Frank Martin Gilligan was a founding member of Capitol Records Artists “Mason Dixon” and has garnered numerous accolades in the Texas songwriting community, including a winner at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival songwriter showcase.Irish audiences might be familiar with Frank’s songs “Silver Dollar” and “We Are Texas Strong”, a song of tribute to the victims of Hurricane Harvey last year.
Randy Brooks is the writer of that Christmas classic “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer”, a song that has been heard many millions of times all over the world. If you were to guess that Randy’s musical outlook is a bit bizarre you’d be right. Randy can guarantee a smile and a few belly laugh with his outrageous take on things.
