Waterford Youth Art’s Ollie Breslin is doing a talk this Friday (Good Friday) in the Parlour Vintage Tea Rooms concerning John and Jennie Wyse Power. This couple were very important in many ways in that period 1880 – 1920 and indeed John’s fame was hidden for so many years behind that of his outstanding partner Jennie O’Toole who was a leading suffrage activist, founder of Cumann na mBan and vice president of Sinn Fein for many many years.
Come along and hear about this couple who have so many local links and get some small snippets from their history.
