Jordan's RigoutDM

Sunday July 14th 2013, Medieval Museum, Waterford.
Music at the Museum is delighted to present Jordan’s Rigout to kick-off the second series of Sunday Lunchtime Concerts at the Medieval Museum on 14th July. This series, running from July to November, will continue to support local performers in addition to bringing acts from further afield. The Bishop’s Palace has come on board with the Medieval Museum to offer guided tours at the reduced price of €2 with concert ticket. Café Royal, located at the Theatre Royal and, Geoff’s Café Bar, join the Munster Bar in offering a 10% reduction on lunch with concert ticket. Music, history and great food; that’s Sunday sorted!
Jordan’s Rigout is a collective of Waterford-based musicians brought together by the simple pleasure of playing music. Born in the back snug of Jordan’s American Bar roughly two years ago, this group of musicians has been warming the cockles of those who have made it along to their regular Tuesday night sessions.
The line-up includes local musicians Kevin Power, Eadaoin Breatnach, Lorcan Reidy, Robert Doherty, Nicholas Bankes, Niamh Dalton and Eoin Dalton. They play a variety of instruments: guitar, banjo, harmonica, bodhran, whistles and shakers, fiddles and spoons: all woven together with tight vocal harmonising.
The band recently performed a session on Liam Merriman’s The Green Room with WLR FM which received great reviews from those who tuned in. They are delighted to be performing for the Music at the Museum series at which they will be playing their usual heady mix of folk, blues and trad tunes, with some original compositions thrown in for good measure.
