An Evening Of Live Experimental Music For Sonic Arts Waterford with miXile performing Berlin Alexanderplatz by request and also a performance by emerging local artist Bill Madigan (Althai) and Super DJ Duper to open.
Mick Shanahan (miXile) is an Australian composer living in Ireland who has been working in the area of Electronic/Ambient Music/Sound/Performance Art since 1986, released 12 albums and regularly performs at festivals and events around Europe. His music is field recording based and mostly concerns location and travel. Recent projects involve travels in Norway, Sweden, Romania, Poland, Berlin, France, Scotland and Australia.
For this special live performance for Sonic Arts Waterford, miXile will revisit his critically acclaimed Berlin Alexanderplatz album. Based on field recordings made in Berlin and toured extensively in Europe for two years prior to release, the concert will be performed for the first time since 2013 when it received rave reviews in Garter Lane Theatre.
