The origins of the current exhibition “SERENDIPITY 6” go back to the first Serendipity show which took place in Gianni’s Restaurant, Waterford in 1993 where a group of artists – most of whom attended WRTC (Waterford Regional Technical College, as it was then) back in the early 1980s – gathered to exhibit their artworks. Since then there have been four more Serendipity shows, the most recent in Tramore in 2014.
SERENDIPITY 6 includes many of the original group under the curatorial eye of Berna Lawton. This show also includes work by some of the artist’s offspring, including Molly Hennessy (daughter of Ben Hennessy), Morgan & Luke Carparelli (sons of Berna Lawton), Niamh Casey (daughter of Tom Casey), and Maire Blount (daughter of Jane O’Brien Moran).

Guest Speaker: Luke Currall, Visual Arts Coordinator, Waterford City & County Council.
