Seán Dunne Literary Trail

The Gathering – July 28th – 2.30pm

Writers Groups and Writers are invited to meet from 2.30pm in the Lafcadio Hearn Japanese Gardens and take part in a Q&A discussion to share what’s happening in their group and form links with other writing groups, you’ll also find out about upcoming publications and events on the Waterford literary scene. Talks will be facilitated by Derbhile Graham and Mary Howlett. Invitees can then join in the guided Seán Dunne Literary Walk through the garden with Agnes Aylward and Keith Guinan. There will be time afterwards to relax over coffee between 4.00pm and 4.45pm or take part in a short open mic session before attending the official launch.

Seán Dunne Literary Trail Launch – July 28th – 5.00pm – 6.30pm.

The Lafcadio Hearn Japanese Gardens are delighted to officially launch the Seán Dunne Literary Trail. Writers and Readers will gather to celebrate the life and writings of Seán Dunne. Readings will include works by Seán and individual works by up and coming and established writers. It is hoped that this will be the beginning of the establishment of a national and internationally recognised literary trail which will encourage the development of writers, workshops and literary events in Lafcadio Hearn Japanese Gardens and throughout Tramore.

READERS : Thomas McCarthy, Martina Collender, Jim Nolan, Agnes Aylward, Andrea Caulfied, Lani O’Hanlon, Wayne Power, Mark Roper, Aidan Dunne and Keith Guinan. Readings will be interspersed with Music by Damien O’Brien.
