QUANGODELIC

Central Arts are excited to announce one of the funkiest bands in the country from Cork Quangodelic will be playing on April 1st!

Quangodelic are an ever-growing funk collective. Expect to see anywhere between eight and 14 free spirits on the stage, as the mood and other commitments take them. Gigs in DeBarra’s in Clonakilty, The Crane Lane and The Strand in Dunmore East are building on Quangodelic’s reputation as a band that not only bring the funk but make sure it stays put through long, sweaty, high-octane sets involving papier-maché masks and red hot jams.

Their material is a blend of solid funk staples with new material from the indisputably original mind of bassist, vocalist and ringleader Pat Allott. Having generated something of a cult following in Cork, the Quangodelic machine is clanking and grinding and gearing up for total funk domination of the universe, and if not the universe than Waterford will do. Have funk, will travel. “We dont care how stupid we look, We just care about FUNK. Pure wonky Funk. We play live music that people can get sweaty to. We play party music. We are the party.”
