Waterford City & County Council's Arts resource site

Unfortunately, due to weather warnings for high winds and rain over the coming days, and the latest Government limitations for outdoor gatherings to 15 people, the decision has been made to postpone the Quaker Trail launch (due to take place on August 20th at 11:00) until a later date.

The Quaker Trail has been developed by Waterford Cultural Quarter to highlight important sites relating to the industrial heritage of the Quaker community in the O’Connell Street area of Waterford city.

Many thanks to Joan Johnson – Joan approached Waterford Council some time ago with the vision for a Quaker trail in the city, and today would have been the culmination of many months of Joan’s research, hard work and tenacity.

Many thanks also to Jill Hincks from Passion for Creative – Jill is the artist and designer and went over and above to create the printed and online trail leaflet.

The leaflet is available here and the printed version will be in Waterford Gallery of Art (32/33 O’Connell Street) upon its reopening and in other locations for locals and visitors to enjoy.
