Garter Lane, Thursday April 2nd – Saturday 4th 2020 at 8:00 pm

FB_IMG_1583238366241“Well, The Show Must Go On!” is an hilarious new play written and directed by Waterford writer Martine Rogers.

Set in a Waterford town, a struggling drama group “The Déise Players” attempts to stage a momentous production. Anyone who has been involved on committees will relate to the politics and undertones that filter through this play from start to finish.

You will laugh because it’s funny but mainly because you will identify with the characters; the clique on the committee, the has-been who is trying to keep her foot in the door, the creep, the holy Joe, the mammy’s boy, the volatile teen, the blow ins and more.

Martine was born and bred Waterford City and spent her childhood and teenage years in Waterford theatres. The cast hails from city and county and can’t wait to take this opportunity to entertain at Garter Lane with a play that received rave reviews from theatre critics and the general public who packed the Town Hall Theatre Dungarvan for its premiere two years ago.
