This poetry competition is in celebration of Heritage Week 2019.

Poems can only be submitted online here through the entry form at the bottom of the page. Entry fee is €4 per poem with unlimited submissions. Each poem should be new and unpublished and inspired by the Heritage Week theme of Pastimes: Past Times. Poems will be judged by highly acclaimed poet, James Harpur.

First prize is €100; second prize is €70; and third Prize is €50. A reading of the shortlisted poems will take place in Strokestown Library at 11am on Saturday 17 August, and the poems will be displayed in Strokestown Library for the duration of Heritage Week.
