In this four-day workshop you will be investigating different strategies in observational painting. You will examine how to plan and execute a painting in a natural and logical process, taking your paintings through systems of layer building over a period of days. Informed by your visible surroundings within the landscape and on still life at Artform studios, Aidan will work alongside participants in order to impart his experiences through demonstration and discussion.
Aspects such as surface and ground, subject and environment, measuring and scaling, palette and methods of paint application will be your main focus over this course.
