Laois Arthouse, Stradbally Studios and residential Studios are subsidised, live/ work spaces for professional artists/ writers/ musicians working on projects. Studios at €200 and accommodation at €200 per month, including utilities and waste disposal. Minimum stay is 3 months. Facilities include an exhibition space, kiln, garden, public library, and WiFi. Kiln fees are extra and the artist has to prove their competency in usage. There is a competitive selection process.
Selection panel includes: Local Authority representatives, an external curator and an independent artist. Application form, CV, proposal, documentation of work and references to be provided for consideration to the Arts Office, Laois County Council, Portlaoise, Co.
