OLD MEMORIES exhibition by Aidan Dunne at Top of the City Garden

OLD MEMORIES, a collection of recent work by Aidan Dunne, will be part of the Top of the City Garden’s Culture Night (22nd September 2023, Friday).

Aidan Dunne is a Waterford born artist whose original training in photography and eye for composition is always present in his oil paintings. His atmospheric images are inspired by nature – Irish landscapes and seascapes seep through the darkness filtered by ethereal light.

Old memories recall not only places, but the emotions associated with a remembered experience. Without including people in the paintings, Aidan strives to visually express the innate feeling of humanity, the emotional memories of time and places.

Aidan’s work can be found in many private and public collections including the Waterford Municipal Art Collection and Waterford Healing Arts Trust. His most recent solo exhibition ‘Autonomous Minds’ in 2021 was at The Rogue Gallery, Waterford. He has taken part in many group shows including ‘How the Light Gets in’ at WHAT and ‘East Meets West’ with Group 20ten.
