Strange Fruit are a five piece acoustic band based in the South East of Ireland, playing a range of music that includes tradition Irish, folk, jazz, bluegrass and original material. Vocalist Bobbie Carey hails from Rhode Island in the USA and is a classically trained singer who has performed and recorded internationally. She is also a talented song writer and the band’s set list features several of these. To date she has recorded two solo albums the most recent being ‘Throwaway Girl’. The band has a distinctive sound and the variety of music covered ensures it appeals to a wide audience.
