The band ‘A Different Thread’ is a collaboration of three out of the ordinary bedfellows with Robert Jackson, a singer-songwriter from Lichfield Staffordshire, Isaac Collier, a classical trained cellist from the Yorkshire Moors, and Alicia Best a fiddle player and vocalist from North Carolina.
Robert Jackson possess a unique voice and incorporates bluesy harmonica with rhythmic guitar picking. Jackson’s songs cleverly weaves together adventure, bitter romance and synchronicity with “thought provoking, well crafted lyrics” (Gordon Giltrap) and a “strong, soulful voice” (FATEA Magazine). Isaac’s cello playing elevates the group’s music with an impulsive edge. The band has recently being graced with the talents of Alicia Best whom brings tight vocal harmonies with Southern Soul.
