Garter Lane Arts Centre, Tuesday and Thursday 13th-15th February at 8pm and Wednesday February 14th at 2:30pm.

Murder of Crows is a compelling and new drama woven together by Dublin writer Lee Coffey, skilfully spinning numerous narratives into a single exploration of the connections formed between three young delinquents who flock together in their knowledge that secrets hide in the dark and darkness, once gazed upon, can never be lost….

The play stars Waterford talent Katie Honan, most recently seen in the lead role of Eli in the Abbey Theatre’s production of Let The Right One In and also stars Amilia Stewart, well known as Katy O’Brien in RTE’s Fair City. The cast is rounded out by Dublin writer/actor Aisling O’Mara and all three are directed by Karl Shiels, recognisable to Waterford audiences from Jim Nolan’s Irish Times nominated play Dreamland and Robbie Quinn in RTE’s Fair City.

Murder of Crows will have two evening performances at Garter Lane, February 13th and 15th. A matinee performance on February 14th will be followed by a ‘Meet the Makers’ workshop featuring a conversation with the creative team who produced the play.

Sunday Independent – “an utterly believable nightmare of abusive savagery, a cross between Apocalypse Now and Lord of the Flies.”

Sunday Times  – “Stewart, Honan and O’Mara are impressive in Lee Coffey’s sharply observed new play Murder of Crows.”

Sunday Business Post – “Theatre Upstairs has quickly become a leader in new writing for the theatre…”

Sunday Times – “Lee Coffey’s writing is alarming…because one senses he has tapped into the zeitgeist of teenage life in Ireland.”
