Healing Sounds on the Wards is funded by the Arts Council and the National Lottery Good Causes Fund.

This art project invites people living with dementia, and their families/carers, to join us to look at and chat about paintings from the UHW art collection in a welcoming space. Sessions take place on the wards for patients at UHW and in the WHAT Centre for people living in the community. All welcome. No experience needed – just an interest in art or in trying something new.
Next ward session: Thursday 2nd May, Medical 5 (for patients on Medical 5 and their families/carers)
Next community session: Thursday 9th May, 2.30pm, WHAT Centre for Arts & Health, for people living with dementia in the community. Adm free but please book as places are limited: 051 842664 / what@hse.ie

Congratulations to artist Deirdre Dunne whose paintings were selected by public vote for this year’s A Better Place solo exhibition at UHW, to open in June. The exhibition will continue over the summer. More details to follow…

The Staff Art Wall is an initiative which aims to celebrate the creativity of HSE staff by providing an opportunity to display your work at the hospital.
