The Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network (ISACS) is delighted to host this unique 2 day masterclass led by David Poznanter and Peter Sweet of Boom Circus (US) just days before they set to wow the crowds at the Irish premier of their dynamic street show ‘Boom’ to the Waterford Spraoi International Street Arts Festival this August Bank Holiday weekend. In this intensive two-day workshop, Peter Sweet and David Poznanter will lead participants through an exploration of the foundations of mask theatre. Students will have the opportunity to learn the techniques that under ly this endlessly rich realm of physicality and primordial expression. David and Peter both studied mask-making and mask theatre under Matteo Destro at Helikos: International School of Theatre Creation, in Florence, Italy. They are currently touring their two-man mask / circus / live music show, “BOOM!”, throughout Europe and the U.S. (www.boomcircus.com).
