Abandoned by his father, a young boy is left in a state-run youth farm. In a random act of kindness, the town hairdresser agrees to foster him on weekends. Determined to find his missing father and his new, red bike, his tenacity takes him and his audience on a roller-coaster journey of emotions. Learning tough lessons in rejection and the consequences of his actions and the acceptance of love, life is never easy for this stubborn boy in this life-affirming film which will tug at your heart-strings.
Written and directed by the Belgian brothers Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne, starring Cécile de France and Thomas Doret.
