WATERFORD WELCOMES SONIC DREAMS FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND (SEPTEMBER 25th & 26th)


The weekend of the 25th & 26th Sonic Arts Waterford, for the 3rd year running, will bring acts of international acclaim to the City of Waterford. Spanning two venues, SOMA Contemporary on Lombard Street & Hive Emerging on Michael Street, the festival will run over a 2 day period featuring the very best in experimental electronic music as well as visual & workshop fringe elements. To be launched by Bernard Clarke on Friday the 25th at 7pm the festival will feature Annagemina (DE), Dave Mono (IE), Ba-lay and The Prism (UK), Strange Attractor with special guest Jed Speare (USA, IE), Dorota Konchevska and Giudith Font (PL + ES), Iride Project with Katie O’Looney, Denis O’Sullivan, Gunther Berkus and Bernard Clarke (IT, DE, USA and IE), Variant (IE), Fergus Kelly (E), Robin Parmar (IE), Barry Dillon (IE), Ruairi O’Baoighill (IE), Gavin Prior (IE). Visual & workshop acts include VJ Juladi (DE), Waterford City Gamelbot (DE and IE), Richard Carr (IE), Damo Tubbs (IE), South East Maker Space (IE) among others.

“Sonic Arts Waterford is an Experimental Electronic Arts festival. The festival was established with the aim of creating a hub in Waterford City, Ireland for the area of Experimental Electronic Arts. With a cultural exchange between various national and international organisations we have attracted acts from Germany, Poland, Malta, Italy, Greece and many more. As well as live performances, the aim is to provide workshops, installations and talks in the various fields of experimental electronic and Visual Arts”
