Land Lovers are a band from Dublin in Ireland, who play in a melodic style that might not be actual pop music but is something of the sort. Formed in 2008, the full line-up now includes Pádraig Cooney, Ciarán Canavan, Shane Murphy and Maggie Fagan. Land Lovers helped to found the Popical Island collective in 2010 and have been instrumental in its undertakings: the release of 3 acclaimed compilations at corresponding all day mini-festivals and the building and opening of a headquarters in Dublin – facilitating and promoting records by some of Ireland’s best pop bands, including Tieranniesaur, Squarehead, No Monster Club, Paddy Hanna, Yeh Deadlies, Groom and Ginnels.
