Kevin
Very sad to report that our good friend Kevin Connolly passed away last Friday. Kevin, a co-founder of Group 20ten, member of the Baha’i community, Waterford GIY and Native Woodland Trust, had been living in Copenhagen and his funeral takes place there tomorrow, Friday 23 November.
Please see the message below about a memorial for Kevin here in Waterford.

Dearly-loved friends,
The Local Spiritual Assembly was deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of dear Kevin Connolly who will be deeply missed by the Waterford Bahá’í community.  He shall be lovingly remembered by the friends – both in the community and beyond – for his keen intellect and for his kind heart which endeared many a soul.

We will be holding a Memorial Meeting in Waterford to honour Kevin.  All the friends are lovingly invited to attend and are encouraged to extend this invitation to the friends of Kevin in the community-at-large who are warmly welcome.

The Memorial Meeting will take place at: 8pm, Thursday, 29 November 2018 at the home of Maurice and Ala Sabour-Pickett, 72 The Drive, Kill St Lawrence, Waterford X91 Y0X6

  2. Kevin ‘Spats’ Connolly was one of my friends growing up in Dundalk. He was one of the most recent lads I knew. He was the kinda fella who would do anything for you if he could. He was someone you always had a good time when we were hang about together and we always partied like it might be our last chance as you did when you were kids. He used to be a big mate with the late Fintan Hopper, what a double act they were. In his memory I’m gonna get. Some of his mates here in Dundalk crack open a couple of beers, skin up a better of joints and wish him every happiness in his new life, love you Spats xxxx
