Each year as part of the Irish Youth Music Awards (IYMA’s), Youth Work Ireland host a National Day in the Aviva Stadium which is a celebration of youth music and features acts from each of the participating regions. Featuring over fifteen different young acts from across Ireland performing from different youth organizations, which include, Youth Work Ireland, Youth Action Northern Ireland, City of Dublin Youth Service Board and Crosscare.
The National Day is a celebration of up and coming musicians and performers as well as offering young people a window into learning about the creative and music industries that exist within Ireland and overseas.
During the National Day, Youth Work Ireland runs an educational hub featuring workshops with industry professionals that are free of charge to anyone attending. Last year’s National Day had drumming workshops, vocal workshops and an industry panel for young people to attend and ask questions. This year the educational hub is expanding with lots more workshops planned. There is a second stage which performers can sign up to perform, please contact us in advance as places are limited.
