The Irish Society for Theatre Research (ISTR) conference 2016 is being held in Waterford, hosted by WIT, and is open to performing arts practitioners and researchers from all countries.
The Irish Society for Theatre Research Annual Conference is open to performers of all genres and techniques, theatre directors, musicians, theatre designers, playwrights, performing arts academics, arts educators and teachers, theatre critics, arts journalists, etc. The organising panel invites proposals from scholars at all points in their career and especially encourages proposals from postgraduate researchers. Participants are invited to contribute to a conversation that considers how acts of collaboration, initiated by performing arts practitioners and/or researchers, embrace and/or reject the idea of polyphonic co-creation and develop, question and disrupt national and international conversations.
