Mary Prendergast has been performing all over Ireland for many years and has an extensive repertoire of Irish, country and folk music.  She has also been working with Waterford Healing Arts Trust for the last 12 years, delivering interactive music programmes with service users from the Brothers of Charity and as part of the team of artists delivering Iontas, WHAT’s arts and mental health programme.

Announcing details of the forthcoming performance, Claire Meaney, Acting Arts Director of Waterford Healing Arts Trust, said “We are delighted to present this solo performance by Mary Prendergast  as part of our Healing Sounds in the Foyer, programme.  Mary is one of the most wonderful, dynamic, cheerful, engaging musicians we have the pleasure to work with, so we are sure everyone who sees her at UHW will be in for an uplifting lunchtime experience”.

Healing Sounds in the Foyer is a programme of monthly live music performances which aims to promote the positive relationship between music, health and wellbeing and to reduce stress and anxiety for patients, visitors and staff. This programme is kindly sponsored by AIB Ardkeen.
