This October members of Group 20ten took part in the international phenomenon that is Inktober, drawing in ink each day.  A selection of the work created is on display at Gallery 20ten, 18a Lombard Street, Waterford.

The well-known artist collective is represented by Pat Carri, Christine O’Brien, Milia Tsaoussis-Maddock and Beata Zakrzewska. They are joined by guest artist Martin Fahy, founder of Southpaw Studio.

Martin’s 31 individual pieces have been combined to create an art book. Beata has continued her yearlong ‘Woodies’ project, exchanging watercolour for inks as she develops new wood knot inspired creatures.

Pat has included seven illustrations from his futuristic novella ‘I’m not from Here’.  Christine’s work uses washes of old fountain pen ink on watercolour paper, with imagery ‘drawn’ using a dried up pen.

The gallery is open from 1 to 5pm Wednesday to Saturday.

Gallery 20ten is supported by Waterford City and County Council and the Tower Hotel Group.
