Waterford Gallery of Art Tuesday March 14th, from 6pm
On Tuesday March 14th, from 6pm, at Waterford Gallery of Art there will be an insightful discussion exploring the intersection of immersive technology and creativity. The speaker and panelists will explore the impact this technology is having on creative industries and how it is utilised for story telling in many different formats, such as virtual production in film and TV and augmented reality at art galleries and tourist attractions.

Speaking on the night will be Aaron Jay from Emagine. Aaron will give examples of how different creative fields are embracing immersive technology and how the craft of storytelling will continue to be at the center of how we create and consume content. Aaron will be joined for a panel discussion by Linda Curtin and Ryan McKenna.
Linda Curtin is an award winning visual artist and filmmaker who will draw on her experiences designing and delivering Immersive Wexford, a Screen Wexford program for creatives which facilitated learning in the field of VR, AR, and virtual production.
Ryan is an award-winning Indie filmmaker specialising in virtual production. He produced Ireland’s first virtual production short film, “THIRST” and is representing Ireland’s immersive technology cluster Eirmersive.
