You will learn all the skills you need to whittle a butter knife from a blank piece of timber, giving you the knowledge necessary to continue your wood carving career safely at home!
This workshop is an introduction to whittling, where you will learn basic knife and wood carving techniques from craftsman, Ed Forristal, of Forristal Woodwork.
Participants will be taught the safe way to work with a very sharp knife – no wood working experience is necessary although participants should be reasonably comfortable using sharp tools. All raw materials and tools will be provided.
