
Gala night with the Greeley Chorale from Colorado for the benefit of patients in Waterford Regional Hospital
The Waterford Healing Arts Trust is delighted to announce details of a once-off gala night featuring the Greeley Chorale from Colorado in aid of the work of the Trust on Tuesday 4th June at 8pm
Tickets in the Theatre Royal, Waterford.
Founded in 1964, the Chorale’s repertoire ranges from the traditional major choral works of the great composers to the spirituals, folk songs and Broadway music of America. The mission of the Chorale is to provide quality choral music for the enjoyment, cultural enrichment and education of the community and to further the talents and musical growth of its individual members. The Chorale’s director, Dr. Galen Darrough is Director of Choral Activities at the University of Northern Colorado, has vast experience and has directed, adjudicated and served as clinician to choirs in 20 American states, Canada and Latin America.
The Greeley Chorale regularly tours internationally but this is their first time they have performed in Ireland even though many of the singers have Irish roots.
The concert will be followed by a food and wine reception at which audience members will have the opportunity to meet the choir. The reception will be sponsored by Ardkeen Stores, Granville Hotel, Kervick Brothers, Paula Catering and World Wide Wines.
All proceeds from this gala night will go towards funding the ongoing arts programme of the Waterford Healing Arts Trust (WHAT) which brings art to the bedside of patients in Waterford Regional Hospital.
