Friday 23 May: Talk at 1.30pm | Workshop 2.30-4.30

Biodiversity Week and GOMA invite you to spend an afternoon in the company of artist Séamus O’ Brien and biodiversity officer Marina Mulligan to discover Irish grasslands and try the ancient craft of paper-making.

For Biodiversity Week, this hands-on workshop will connect you with the local landscape using foraged wild grasses, guided by expert eyes. You will be lead through the fascinating process of transforming these humble plants into unique sheets of textured paper. Learn about fibre preparation, pulping, sheet forming, and pressing, all while enjoying the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere of the process.

Take this opportunity to slow down, engage with nature, and create something beautiful and sustainable with your own hands.
