The Arts Service of Waterford City & County Council is looking for Expressions Of Interest for a series of Performance Events surrounding the forthcoming Winter Solstice. The scheme is aimed at professional producers to curate a performance related project(s) that will employ professional musicians/artistes and technicians. It is funded by the Department for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and its official title is the Local Live Performance Programming Scheme. It is part of the Government’s Resilience and Recovery 2020-2021 – The Path Ahead programme. 
The working title for this particular project is Waterford Winter Fire Dance. It will culminate on December 21st – the Winter Solstice.
Its primary function is to aid performance related professionals by kickstarting activities that were mothballed by Covid-19 programmes. A previous iteration (August) was largely aimed at Cover and Wedding bands.
