The Rogue Gallery & Studios, Friday June 21st – Monday June 24th 2019 at 2:00pm – 6:00pm

The art of book making is alive in the Rogue Gallery for this weekend only! Martin will share his extensive knowledge and experience to show you the art of the book.
Martin Fahy is a book artist based in Ferrybank.
He works at Southpaw Book Arts and soon to be Riverpost Art & Wellbeing. He works with Waterford Healing Arts as a volunteer arts facilitator and is a founding member of Ferrybank Men’s Shed .
The aim of Martin’s work though southpaw, is to encourage creativity through playful interaction. The use of easily accessible materials and simple techniques to create personal objects helps to reinforce the idea that anyone can be an artist if encouraged and guided with simple ideas to create works worth more than to sum oft their parts. And the positive effects that creativity can have on health and well-being are also a key component of the work. The creative process is greater than the result.
Also there will be an opening night on Thursday 20th September at 8:00pm where Martin will outline the history of his project.
Donation required for materials, no booking necessary.
