Children’s Art Classes

GOMA Gallery of Modern Art, Saturdays 4th – 25th Feb & 11th – 1st April 2023 And they are back!!! Children’s Art Classes with GOMA’s Resident Artists. Every Saturday – 4 weeks blocks. 1st block starts the 4th February – 25th February. Children aged 4-7 years 11am -12pm Children ages 8 – 12 years 12.30 – 2pm. Cost classes are €8 euro per class which includes all materials. Booking essential! Classes will take place here at GOMA and are suitable for Children aged 4- 7 years and 8-12 years. Classes aim to build confidence, exploring techniques and materials through drawing, colour and making in the hopes to instil a sense of self reliance and confidence in their own abilities. Facilitators Rhys Wallace (They/Them) is a 22 year old Visual Artist currently living and working within Waterford City. A recent graduate from South East Technological University, Rhys works through the medium of film, performance and collage. Rhys often works with kids within their practice, focusing on skill building and self confidence building through various artistic mediums in the hopes to instil a sense of self reliance and confidence in their own abilities.Rhys will be assisted by another member of GOMA team each week. * The 2nd 4 week block will begin on the 11th of March – 1st April.
