This August UNDER MILK WOOD by Dylan Thomas directed by Jim Nolan is Waterford Youth Arts Summer 2024 Project with a cast of 30 youths from 14 – 19 years old.
Under Milk Wood is a surreal, impressionistic and playful account of twenty four hours in the life of the fictional Welsh village of Llareggub. We learn of the inhabitants’ dreams and desires, their loves and regrets through Dylan Thomas’s colourful charachters such as Mary Ann Sailors, Mr. Mog Edwards, Polly Garter and Captain Cat (who is tormented by thoughts of shipmates lost at sea).
