The Creativity & Change post-grad programme is for anyone interested in how creative engagement can nurture global citizenship and empathic action around global justice themes. It ordinarily takes place one weekend a month from September to May in CIT CCAD, Cork City Centre, but this will take place mostly outdoors around Cork City, and online.

They have recently had to radically rethink how they engage their learners and are excited to share that we are developing a mobile studio classroom, transported on a cargo e-bike to facilitate learning spaces on the move and outdoors. So, much of next year’s course will be on wheels! You will engage in a wide range of hand on creative processes including visual arts, creative writing and theatre, explore global justice topics and reflect on your own identity as a global citizen. You will also put learning into practice in designing learning experiences for a range of contexts.

They would also like to announce their Amplifying Voices scholarships. The core of their work is to explore and address global justice and they value the perspectives and experiences of a diverse participant group when doing so. They always seek to improve the accessibility of their programme and aim to provide opportunities to those who may have experienced barriers to accessing post-graduate education, such as those in Direct Provision, or Travellers. They can now offer a number of free places o those who may not have otherwise been in a position to apply. Application is via the CIT website, with Amplifying Voices cited in the title of the application statement. Please share this with anybody it might be of use to.

The course fee is subsidised by Irish Aid.

Application deadline 18th August. Note that places may be offered on a rolling basis, so early application is still advised.
